The Lake

Come on, you knew this post had to be coming soon. It is almost the end of April, of course we have already been to the lake a few times this month:) Its that time of year again, and Rodney could not be more excited. And he is even more excited this year because Mason is older and can appreciate how much fun it is to spend time at the lake. One of the reasons we chose to live in this neighborhood is because we are two minutes from one lake and five minutes from another. And one of the great perks of our neighborhood is the neighborhood boat club. We love it because it has a completely fenced in little park right on the water, so Mason can sit and watch the boats go by, and I don't have to worry about him getting too close to the water.

Now we did venture away from the neighborhood a couple of weeks ago when Rodney had the week off. We headed out to Pace Bend Park and hung out there for the day. It was a momentous occasion because Mason rode the wave runner for the first time. He was beyond excited, but nervous at the same time. Rodney stayed by the shore the whole time and went super slow, but Mason still thought it was the coolest thing ever. Also, he loved his life jacket because Daddy had one just like it.
