Mason is 1!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you believe it? We can't. But it's true.........yesterday our little boy turned one year old. And man did we celebrate. The last few days have been a whirlwind............but it was a blast. It all started on Friday night when we had Rodney's family over to celebrate Lisa's birthday. We had some good Rudy's bbq and some yummy cake. Happy Birthday Lisa! The next morning we geared up for Mason's official birthday party. We had it at the local swimming pool. Poor Mason was having an incredibly hard day, apparantly a very mean tooth was causing him a lot of pain. I must admit, the poor guy was not in a good mood for his birthday party..........but he struggled through it, sweet thing. Afterwards we had both set of grandparents over to the house so Mason could open presents. He was excited about all that, and started feeling a little better it seemed. Then for his actual birthday (yesterday, September 9th), we had a family day. Rodney took the day off work and we went to eat at Kirby Lane and then took Mason to Deep Eddy Pool for the first time. Its such a great pool for kids his age, so he had a great time. Then we came home and had the whole family over for lasagna, Mason's favorite meal. Mason finally had started feeling better by this point (stupid tooth) and was just having a grand old timing showing off to his grandparents and aunt and uncle.

We are so excited Mason is one.................he is so much fun these days. He loves to explore his new walking skills, he has just started saying "Hey Buddy" and it is adorable, he loves to talk on the phone and much much more. It just gets more fun each day.
